How To Make A Classic Style Steak Tartare At Home.

Classic European Steak Tartar is made of chopped raw steak, egg yolk, capers, and pungent mustard. Steak tartare is usually enjoyed with slices of bread or crispy crostinis.

A French classic, steak tartare is a raw preparation of beef, which is commonly found at French bistros, brasseries, and coffee shops. Steak tartare, also known as beef tartare, is a delicious dish made of chopped, quality meat, served raw.

Steak tartare is a melt-in-your-mouth treat made from choice, top-quality steak-freshly chopped or ground, heavily spiced, and enjoyed raw. A classic, it is made up of a hand-cut, raw beef, finely diced shallots/onions, capers, and Worcestershire sauce, all mixed with an acidic dressing made with mustardy Dijon.

The best beef to use is steak or beef fillet fresh-bought from the butcher, not from a supermarket. Always let the butcher know that you are planning on making beef tartare-they will get you a fresh cut of meat and will give advice about which is the best part of your steak tartare.

If you wish to make the beef tartare in advance, you can store the assembled mix in the fridge for up to 2 to 3 hours. The actual preparation of this beef tartare recipe should take just about half an hour overall, max, depending on how finely chopped you prefer the ingredients.

Once you have reached your desired texture, put it into the mixing bowl along with chopped chives or parsley if you prefer, chopped capers, the chopped banana shallots, Tabasco, drops of lemon, Worcestershire sauce, and gently stir to combine.

I hope you enjoyed this recipe. And as always Buon Appetito!
